Play Therapy
We have a trained play therapist on site who is registered with the British Association of Play Therapists.
One to one play therapy sessions, usually weekly, are available as part of our response to social and emotional needs. Children and young people who have difficulty putting their concerns and priorities into spoken or signed language can often show these fluently through the themes in their play. The form of play therapy used is Child-Centred and allows the child to lead the way.
If we feel that a learner may benefit from play therapy, then we will contact parents or carers to discuss organising sessions.
